Established in 1969, The Guidance Center is a not-for-profit Community Mental Health Center that offers a full continuum of behavioral health programs and services for children, adolescents, adults and families throughout Coconino County.

  • Residential substance abuse recovery
  • Substance abuse stabilization & transition services
  • Psychological & psychiatric testing
  • Case management services
  • Pharmaceutical services

  • Primary health care services through HealthCare Connect 
  • Crisis Services, available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week

The Guidance Center is licensed and accredited by The Joint Commission (TJC) and licensed through Arizona Department of Health Services Office of Behavioral Health Licensure (ADHS / OBHL) & Department of Health Services (DHS) for Outpatient/Special Hospital services.

The Guidance Center is contracted through HCIC, the Regional Behavioral Health Authority for Apache, Coconino, Gila, Mohave, Navajo and Yavapai counties. Funds for services are provided through a contract with the Arizona Department of Health Services/Division of Behavioral Health Services and AHCCCS.

Services provided may also be covered under AHCCCS or Substance Abuse Prevention and Treatment (SAPT) Block Grant as well as other insurances.  Please contact the administrative office for questions.
